Description

1.   The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Association to the cost of Public Sector Capacity Building Program, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for B/G/PSCAP/DLDP/Goods/03-05.

The Loan amount is US $ 100,000,000.

2.   The Benishangul Gumuz Capacity Building Coordination Office now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for procurement of Office Furniture.

3.   Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and inspect the bidding documents at the address below:

4.   Qualification requirements include

i)        A valid license and registration certificate for the supply of the particular goods, the agency certificates and eligibility of the bidder.

ii)       Showing the bidder has the technical and production capability to perform the contract; and to carry out the suppliers’ maintenance, spare parts and consumable stocking obligations.

iii)     Showing the conformity of the goods to the bidding documents, such as detailed description of the good’s essential technical and performance characteristics. Additional details are provided in the bidding documents.

5.   A complete set of bidding document in English language may be purchased by the interested bidders from Ministry of Federal Affairs during office hours at Room No. 106 upon the submission of a written application to the address below and payment of non-refundable fee Birr 50 (Birr Fifty) starting from June 20, 2006 up to July 20, 2006. The method of payment will be in cash only.

Wax-sealed bid document (1 original & 1copy) shall be delivered to the Ministry of Federal Affairs, Addis Ababa, Room No. 106, on or before 9:00 A.M. on or before 9:00 A.M. July 20, 2006. Late bides will be rejected.

Bid will be opened in the presence of the bidders/bidders’ represeatnvies who choose to present in person at 10:00 A.M. on the same date at the Ministry of Federal Affairs, Room No. 106, Addis Ababa.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of Birr 10,000 (Ten Thousand Birr) in the form of Certificate Cheque, C.P.O. or Bank Guarantee which will be payable on first demand y the Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Capacity Building Coordination Office.
