1. The
Ethiopian Roads Authority invites sealed bids from registered
suppliers under International Completive Bidding (ICB) for the
supply of:
Lot 1: (a) 212 Metric Tons of MC-30
Asphalt to be delivered to Alamata Betmera
project,
Lot 1: (b) 650 Metric Tons of MC-30
Asphalt to be deliver dot Combolcha Woldia Project.
Lot 1: (c) 885 Metric Tons of MC-30
Asphalt to be delivered to Jijiga Degahabur
Project.
Lot 1 (d) 1865 Metric Tons of MC-30
Asphalt to be delivered to Addis Ababa,
Lot 2: - 3066 Metric Tons of MC-3000
Asphalt to be delivered to Addis Ababa,
Lot 3: (a) 5000 Metric Tons of 60/70
Asphalt to be delivered to Combolcha Woldia Project,
Lot 3: (b) 1552 Metric Tons of 60/70
Asphalt to be delivered to Addis Ababa,
Lot 4: (a) 2040 Metric Tons of
120/150 Asphalt to be delivered t Jijiga Degahabur Project.
Lot 4: (b) 2090 Metric Tons of
120/150 Asphalt to be delivered to Kebridehar Shilabo Project,
Lot 4: (c) 1092 Metric Tons of
120/150 Asphalt to be delivered to Kebridehar Shilabo Project, and
Lot 4: (d) 1389 Metric Tons of
120/150 Asphalt to be delivered to Kebridehar Gode Project.
2. Suppliers
that wishes to participate in this bidding but not yet registered in
the Approved Suppliers’ list may apply to the relevant authority for
registration and also are required to submit VAT registration
certificate.
3. Interested
registered bidders may purchase a complete set of bidding document
from the office of Procurement Services, Room No. 106 during
official working hours against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr
100 or in another freely convertible currency of equivalent amount
and upon presentation of Trade license renewed for 1998 E.C. and Tax
clearance certificate.
4. This
invitation for bid is open to all interested bidders regardless of
their nationality and the bid evaluation and award shall be
determined in accordance with the provisions indicted in the Bidding
document. The bidding document is prepared in English Language.
5. Bid
must be deposited in the tender box situated at the 1st
floor Room No. 106 before the closing date and time on August 1,
2006 at 10:00 A.M.
6. Bids
must be accompanied for each LOT (including the sub-lots), with a
bid security, of not less than Birr 100,000 or in another freely
convertible currency of an equivalent amount. The bid security
should be either in the form of Cashier’s cheque or Certified cheque
or letter of credit of Bank guarantee or cash deposited against
receipt. Bid securities in the form of Insurance bond or in any form
other than these shall not be acceptable.
7. Bids
will be opened at 10:00 A.M. on August 1, 2006 in the Ethiopian
Roads Authority Conference Room located at the 4th floor,
in the presence of bidders and/or their represeatnvies who choose to
attend.
