1. The
Oromia Education Bureau has received a budget from Oromia Regional
State towards the cost of maintenance and rehabilitation of TVET
schools in IluuAbba Bora and West Shoa administrative zone of the
Oromia region.
2. The
Oromia National Regional State Education Bureau now invites all
contractors of Category GC/BC 6 and above with renewed license valid
for the year 2006 for furnishing the necessary labour, materials
equipment and service of the maintenance and Rehabilitation of the
following TVET schools.

3. Bidding
documents may be purchased at the office or Oromia National Regional
State Education Bureau, Room No. 29 in front of Nefas Silk Shell,
Ethiopia upon submission of written application and a non-refundable
fee of Birr 200.00 (Two Hundred Birr) for each school starting from
June 13, 2006 to July 4, 2006.
4. Bidders
have to be registered to collect “VAT” and copy of VAT certificate
must be submitted attached with the application.
5. Bidders
may obtain further information, inspect the acquire the bidding
documents, from the above mentioned office.
6. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security (valid for 120 calendar
days) in an acceptable form (CPO or bank guarantee) of 1% of the bid
amount and must be submitted on or before 2:00 P.M. July 19, 2006.
7. Bids
will be opened and read in the presence of bidders or their
authorized representatives on the same day of submission of the bid
at 2:30 P.M. in OEB hall.
8. The
construction of the work shall be completed within a maximum of 120
& 240 calendar days for Ambo & Mettu SDC respectively from the
commencement date of the work.
9. The
Oromia Education Bureau reserves the right to reject any or all
bids.
