1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a loan from the
International Development Association (IDA)-toward the cost of
Public Sector Capacity Building Program, and intends to apply part
of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for the
Supply & Delivery of Computers, Accessories and Equipment under-IFB
NO. PSCAP/BG-UMCBP/G-01/06.
The Loan amount is US $
100,000,000.00
2. The
Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Urban Management Capacity Building
Sub Program Coordination Office (Assosa Town Municipality) now
invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply & Delivery
of the following goods. Bidding will be conducted through National
Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures.

3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Benishangul
Gumuz Regional State Urban Management Capacity Building Sub Program

bidding documents at the address sated at the end of this IFB below
under 6.
4. Bidders
have the option to bid for one or more of the lots and for 100% of
the quantities in each lot. Incomplete lots will not be accepted.
Bidders who have not quoted a technically responsive bid for at
least 80% of the items in a lot will be considered as incomplete and
rejected as non-responsive.
5. A
Complete set of Biding Documents in English may be purchased by the
interested bidders from Ministry of Federal Affairs during office
hours at Room No. 106 upon the submission of a written application
to the address below and payment of a non-refundable fee 50 Birr
(Birr Fifty). The method of payment will be in cash only.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below.

Wax-sealed bid document (1 original & 1 copy) shall be delivered to
the Ministry of Federal Affairs, Addis Ababa, Room No. 106, on or
before 9:00 A.M. July 9, 2006. Late bids will be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/bidders’
representatives who choose to be present in person at 10:00 A.M. on
the same date at the Ministry of Federal Affairs, Room No. 106 Addis
Ababa.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of Birr
10,000.00 (Tens Thousand Birr) in the form of certified cheque, CPO
or Bank Guarantee which will be payable on first demand by the
Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Capacity Building Coordination
office.
