The Government of the Ethiopian Federal Government has received a
grant of about EURO 14 million from KfW Entwicklungsbank, Frankfurt,
the German Development Bank towards the cost of the above Project.
It is intended that part of the proceeds of this grant will be
applied to eligible payments under the contract for the supply,
delivery, installation and training on equipment. For our general
Tender for various Technical and Vocational Education and Technical
Institutions we hereby invite prospective suppliers to request
pre-qualification documents to qualify for participation in an
international competitive bidding for below Lots based on DDU
delivery to different places in Ethiopia as per following
preliminary cost estimate:

The
pre-qualification will be conducted per lot. Eligible Applicants are
manufactures or suppliers without limitation to nationality. The
formation of a consortium is acceptable, provided a lead partner is
designated. An applicant not established in Ethiopia is required to
have an authorized agent or local branch in the Region, capable of
rendering after sales-service, including handling of warranty claims
as well as technical support of equipment included in the tendered
lots.
There is no
restriction on the origin of the goods to be offered.
WEM in
cooperation with PLANCO, Hamburg, have been commissioned by the
Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Education, Addis Ababa, to provide
consulting services to the Ministry in implementing the Investment
Component of the Ethio-German TVET Programme. WEM is coordinating
the task of tendering, the coordination for procurement and
logistics for the equipment and supplies of training materials for
TVET institutions all over Ethiopia.

A complete set
of pre-qualification documents in English language may be purchased
by interested applicants on the submission of a written application
to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of EUR
20,--. An additional fee of EUR 40, -- will be charged if the
documents is to be sent to the bidders by courier (via international
courier). The method of payment will be by advance payment and/or
