all contractors of category GC-5 and above with license valid for
the current fiscal year & VAT registered.
1. The
Government of FDRE has obtained grant from the German Financial
Corporation (KFW) for financing the “Urban Development Fund” (UDF)
portion of this fund has been allocated for Dire Dawa City
Administration by the National Steering Committee towards the cost
of Construction work of the City Solid Waste Management System.
2. The
Dire Dawa City Administration now invites qualified contractors of
the above stated category with relevant experience and valid license
for the current fiscal year to submit wax-sealed tender for the
Civil Works of Construction of the City Solid West Management System
Project.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the
bidding documents at the office of:

4.
A complete set of
bidding documents may be purchased against the payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 300 from Dire Dawa City Service Finance
and Economic Development Office of from Urban Development Capacity
Building Office located at the previous Science and Technology
Commission Office in form of the National Bank of Ethiopia,
Telephone 11 416 98 73, Addis Ababa after one week from the first
day of this announcement.
5. The
tender must be accompanied by a Tender Security in an amount of not
less than two percent (2%) of the Tender Price in the form of a
certified cheque, bank draft, letter of credit, or bank guarantee
from a reputable bank in Ethiopia in the from provided in the Tender
documents.
6. Tenders
must be delivered to the Dire Dawa City Service Finance and Economic
Development Office on or before 21st day of the first
announcement before 2:30 P.M.
7. The
City Administration reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
