all Contractors of Category BC/GC Class 3 or above, with licensed
valid for the year 1998 E.C.
1.
The Addis Ababa Water
and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for furnishing the necessary labor, material, equipment and
services for the construction and completion of Vehicle repair and
Maintenance, Electrical and Mechanical Workshop Building, supply and
installation of overhead crane and renovation of existing workshop
building.
2.
A complete set of
bidding documents may be purchased against payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 800 from the above mentioned office.
3. The
construction works shall be completed in 400 calendar days from the
commencement day of the works.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office of

5. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of 1% in the form of a bank
or insurance guarantee, Cashier’s Payment Order (C.P.O.), or cash.
Bid bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.
6.
Bids shall be
submitted in one original and one copy envelope with financial
offer.
7. All
eligibility certificate form the federal Ministry of Infrastructure
renewed License for the year & VAT registration certificate should
be found in the original technical envelope, and be submitted in the
tender box on the closing date.
8. Bid
bond should be in Separate envelope and be submitted in the tender
box together with original envelope.
9. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
at or before 5:00 P.M. local time on April 3, 2006.
10. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official
representatives who wish to attend on April 4, 2006 at 10:00 A.M.
local time.
11. The
Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
Failure to
comply any or the conditions from (4) to (9) above will result in
automatic rejection.
