Description

To all contractors of Category GC Class 5 or above, with license valid for the year 1998 E.C.

1. Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of Legedadi Road rehabilitation project phase 1.
2. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased against payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200 upon presentation of renewed trade license, registration certificate from Ministry of Infrastructure Development and VAT registration.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office of A.A.W.S.A.’s Materials Management Department, Room No. 227, P.O. Box 1505, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 022 662 49 72/011 662 00 10, Fax (251) 662 39 24.
4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of 1% in the form of a Bank or Insurance Guarantee, Cashier’s Payment Order (CPO) or Cash. Bid bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.
5. Bids shall be submitted in one original and one copy envelope with financial offer.
6. All eligibility certificates cited under No. 2 should be found in the original technical envelope, and be submitted in the tender box on the closing date.
7. Bid bond should be in separate envelope and be submitted in the tender box together with original technical envelope.
8. All bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose at or before 5:00 P.M. local time on June 7, 2006.
9. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders and or their official representatives who wish to attend on June 8, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. local time.
10. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

 Failure to comply any of the conditions form (4) to (8) above will result in automatic  rejection.
