The
Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) (hereinafter
referred to as the Corporation) issues this notice of invitation to
bids;
- For Design,
manufacture, test & delivery to the warehouse in Bedele including
sea and inland transportation, port clearances and insurance from
warehouse to warehouse of transmission line material for 90.4 km
single circuit 230 kV line, on double circuit tower, with single
OPGW from Bedele substation to Metu Substation.
- For design,
manufacture, test & delivery to the warehouse in Ghedo including
sea and inland transportation, port clearances and insurance form
warehouse to warehouse of transmission line materials for the
following:
Ø
67 km of single
circuit 230 kV line with single OPGW from Fincahaa-1 substation to
Ghedo substation;
Ø
134 km of double
circuit 230 kV line with single OPGW from Ghedo substation to
Gefersa substation; and
Ø
12 km of double
circuit 230 kV line with single OPGW from Finchaa-II substation to
branching point on the Finchaa-I-Ghedo line;

For design,
manufacture, test & delivery to the warehouse in Shire Indaselase
including sea and inland transportation, port clearances and
insurance from warehouse to warehouse of transmission line materials
for the following:
Ø
160 km of single
circuit 230 kV line with single OPGW from Tekeze substation to
Shire Indaselase substation;
Ø
227 km of single
circuit 230 kV line with single OPGW from Shire Indaselase
substation to Humera substation;
The projects will be financed by
EEPCo.
Eligible companies are invited for
the following Contracts:
1.
Bedele-Metu 230 kV Power transmission Project, Contract BM-2
“supply of 230 kV Transmission Line Materials”
2.
Finchaa-Ghedo-Gefersa 230 kV Power Transmission Project,
Contract FGG-2 “Supply of 230 kV Transmission Line materials”
3.
Tekeze-Indaselase-Humera 230 kV Power Transmission Project,
Contract TIH-2 “Supply of 230 kV Transmission Line Materials”
Only
bidders who have manufacture transmission line towers, designed, and
supplied transmission line materials at 230 kV voltage level or
above will be considered qualified.
The three contracts are independent
and interested bidders may submit offer for one or two or three of
the contracts.
The bid documents can be collected
against a non-refundable payment of Ethiopia Birr 1000 (One
Thousand) for each for each contract independently.

Bid documents for
contracts BM-2, FGG-2 and TIH-2 will be available starting from May
15, 2006 at or after 8:00 hours local time (8:00 A.M.)

Offers must be
delivered to the address given by June 28, 2006 for all (Three)
Contracts at or before 12:00 hours local time. Late bids will be
rejected.
·
Offers will be opened
in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to attend at
the address below on June 28, 2006 for all contracts at 15:00 hours
local time (3:00 P.M.) at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis
Ababa.
The Corporation reserves the right
to reject and or all of the offers.
