Project Name: Tigray Rural Water Supply & Sanitation Development
Program
- The Tigray
Regional State through the Government of Ethiopia has
received credit from the International Development Association
towards the cost of the Water Supply and Sanitation Project and
intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments
under the Contract for Procurement of Hand Pumps and spare parts
for the Rural Water Supply Program in the Region.
- The Tigray
Regional Water Resource, Mines & Energy Bureau now invites sealed
bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of 180
Afridev hand pumps, and 90 Indian Mark II hand pumps, spare parts,
and installation/maintenance tools. The Bureau may purchase
similar amount of hand pumps each year from the same supplier
provided that the performance during the first lot purchase is
satisfactory. Bidders are required to supply the pumps at the
designated distribution outlet centers in the region and keep
spare parts shop as well as the hand pumps for collection by the
community at different time through out the year.
- Bidding
documents and additional copies may be purchased at Tigray
Regional State Water Resource, Mines and Energy Bureau,
Procurement section, Room No. 05, P.O. Box 520 Mekelle Town with a
non-returnable fee of Birr 250 (Birr Two Hundred Fifty only).
Interested bidders may obtain further information from the address
given below.
- Bids shall
be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after bid opening and
must be accompanied by security of minimum of 2% of the total bid
price in local currency and shall be delivered to Tigray Regional
Water Resource, Mines & Energy Bureau, Procurement Section, Room
No. 05 P.O. Box 520, Mekelle, and Telephone No. ( 034) 441 17 95,
Fax (034) 440 10 64 on or before 3:00 P.M. on June 15, 2006 in the
presence of bidders or their legal representatives.
- Tigray
Regional Water Resource, Mines & Energy Bureau, reserves the right
to reject all or part of the bid.
