1. Addis
Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) invites interested
bidders for the supply of:
Lot I. DCI Pipes, Fittings &
Appurtenances
Lot II. PE Pipes & Fittings
2.
A complete set of
bidding documents shall be obtained from the same office against
payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200 during office hours upon
presentation of registration certificate from the Federal Ministry
of Finance and Economic Development renewed trade license for the
year & VAT registration certificate.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office of
A.A.W.S.A.’s Materials Management Department, P.O. Box 1505, Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 011 662 00 10/011 662 49 72, Fax (251-11) 662
39 24.
4. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 50,000 up to
100,000 in the form of Bank Guarantee or Cashier’s Payment Order
(C.P.O.) or Cash. Bid bond in any other form shall not be
acceptable.
5. Bids
shall be submitted in two separate envelopes: 1. Technical envelope
2. Financial envelope each having one original and one copy.
6. All
eligibility certificates cited under No. 2 should be found in the
original technical envelope, and be submitted in the tender box on
the closing date.
7. Bid
security should be in separate envelope and be submitted in the
tender box together with the original technical envelope.
8. If
suppliers are not manufactures, they should provide and affidavit of
compliance (suppliers Authorization) from the manufactures.
9. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
at or before 5:00 P.M. local time on June 14, 2006.
10. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders or their official
representatives who wish to attend, on June 15, 2006 at 10:00
A.M. local.
11. Failure
to comply any of the conditions from (4) to (8) above will result in
automatic rejection.
12. The
Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
