1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated
sufficient budget towards the cost of consultancy services of the
following road projects.
(i)
Construction
supervision of Nazareth-Assela –Dodola and Shashemene-Goba Road
Upgrading Project; Contract 4:Shsasheme-Dodola Junction Road, Lot 1:
Shashemene-Km 35.
(ii)
Construction
supervision of Nazareth-Assela –Dodola and Shashemene-Goba Road
Upgrading Project; Contract 4:Shashement-Dodola Junction Road, Lot
2: Km 35-Dodola.
2. The
Ethiopian Road Authority invites all registered local general or
road consultants with their professional and trade licenses and VAT
registration certificate renewed for 1998 Ethiopian Fiscal Year.

Interested consultant
may obtain further information and collect the Request for Proposal
Documents from Ethiopian Road Authority, Engineering Service

4. The
RFP for the projects can be purchased as of May 23, 2006 upon
presentation of the documents required under (2) above and
submission of a written application to the Engineering Service
Procurement Design and Technical Support Division Manger and upon
payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 150 for each
project made payable to the Ethiopian Road Authority.
5. The
proposals for each project should be prepared in one original and
four copies and must b e submitted to the Directors General’s
office, Ethiopian Road Authority, P.O. Box 1770, Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia, Fax: 251-11-551 48 66. Tel. 251-11-55 66 03 on or before
July 06, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. and 3:30 P.M. respectively as mentioned
in (1).
6.
The proposals will be
opened immediately after the closing time for Submission in the
presence of ERA’s Contract Award Committee (CAC) and Consultant’s
representatives who wish to attend.
7.
A proposal, which is
received late, will not be considered.
8.
ERA reserves the right
to accept or reject any or all proposals.
