1. The
Oromia Regional Health Bureau has received a grant from the Italian
Government toward the cost of Health Sector Development Program, and
it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments
under the Contract for the Procurement of Teaching Aids, NCB/IC/OHB/03/98.
2.
The Oromia Regional
Health Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified
bidders for the supply of Teaching Aids (Desk Top Computers,
Printers, Lap Top Computers, and UPSs) to six Health Science College
(Mettu, Nekemte, Shashemene, Assela, Goba, and Negelle Borena).

3. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines-Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and the bid is open to all
bidders.
4.
Interested eligible
bidders may obtain further information from The Office of
Procurement Service, Oromia Regional Health Bureau, Room No. 39,
Tel. 011 551 08 80 Ext. 228/011 553 01 71 and inspect the bidding
documents from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and from 1:30 P.M. to 5:30
P.M.
5.
Qualification
requirement include: Legal-Bidders must submit renewed Trade License
for year 1998 E.C. VAT registration certificate and Supplier’s
registration certificate from Ministry of Finance and Economic
Development in accordance with the Ethiopian Law.
6.
A complete set of
bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested
bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 50
(Fifty Birr).
7.
Bids must be delivered
to the address below at or before 3:00 P.M. June 1, 2006. Late bids
will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the
bidders/representatives who choose to attend in person at the Human
Resource Management & Property, Administration Department, Oromia
Regional Health Bureau, Room No. 13 on June 1, 2006 at 3:30 P.M.
8.
All bids must be
accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the bid amount in a form of
C.P.O. or Bank Guarantee from a reputable Bank.
9.
The purchaser reserves
the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
