1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a loan, from
the African Development Bank, towards the cost of Primary Health
Care Services Project, and intends to apply part of the funds, to
cover eligible payments under the contract: for the construction of
the following 14 Health Centers at Different Zones of the Oromia
Region.

2.
The Oromia Region
Health Bureau invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the
construction of Health Centers mentioned above, and in the case of
domestic contractors, from those in the category of GC/BC 5 and
above registered with the Ministry of Infrastructure & who have
renewed their license for the current year. Foreign contractors and
joint ventures are also invited.

Bidding documents may
be purchased at Oromia Health Bureau Engineering Service Room No.
63, Tel. 011 553 01 72, P.O. Box 24341, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. For a
non refundable fee of Birr Four Hundred or its equivalent in a
freely convertible currency, for each health center. Interested
bidders may get further information at the same address.
4.
Bids must be valid,
for a period of 120 days, after bid opening, and must be accompanied
by a bid security of at least 2% of the bid amount or its equivalent
in a freely convertible currency from an reputable Bank, and shall
be delivered to Oromia Health Bureau Engineering Section, Room No.
63 on June 15, 2006 before 2:00 P.M. local time.
5. Bid
shall be submitted in wax-sealed and in two copies (original & 2
copies and enclosed by outer envelope). Bids shall be opened in the
presence of the bidders or their represeatnvies who wish to attend
at 2:30 P.M. local time, the same day, in Oromia Health Bureau
Engineering Team Room 63.
6.
The provisions in the
instructions to bidders and in the general conditions of the
contract are the provision of ADB standard bidding documents.
7.
The Oromia Health
Bureau has the right to reject or accept all bids.
