Description

1. Wegagen Bank intends to apply own fund to payments under the contract for the 
    Procurement and Implementation of ATM/PoS/Card Payment System Infrastructure
2. Wegagen Bank invites all interested and eligible bidders by this International Competitive bid for the Procurement and Implementation of  ATM/PoS/Card Payment System Infrastructure. The tender remains floating from May 8, 2006 to June 8, 2006.
3. Bid documents can be obtained from the Bank’s Head Office, located at the Sixth floor of Dembel City Center, IS Department during office hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200 ( Two Hundred Birr Only).
4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of the total price quotation.

4.1.   The bid bond shall be furnished in one of the following forms:

-          Cash

-          Certified Cheque/CPO issued by a recognized domestic bank or

-          Bond issued by and/or confirmed through a recognized domestic bank.

4.2     The Bank that issues the bond as per 4.1 (c) here above shall unequivocally guarantee to pay the purchaser ( Wegagen Bank) the bid bond amount immediately upon the fist written demand for payment. The Purchaser’s written demand for payment shall not be subject to any condition whatsoever.

4.3  The bond issuing bank shall clearly incorporate the content stated under item 4.2. here above on the issued bond.

5.             Sealed bids marked as: “ Tender for the Procurement and Implementation of ATM/PoS/Card Payment System Infrastructure” and addressed to:

P.O. Box 1018
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Will be received at the President’s Office of the Bank in Addis Ababa before or on June 8, 2006 latest by 5:00 P.M. Bids received later that the closing time will be automatically rejected.

6. Bids reserved in time and fulfilling other bid formalities shall be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives at 10:00 A.M. on June 9, 2006 at the Bank’s Board Room, on the Sixth Floor of Dembel City Center.
7. The Bank reserves the right to reject all or parts of this bid.
