This Specific Procurement Notice follows the General
Procurement Notice for this project, which appeared in Development
Business issue No. 560 dated 16th June 2001.
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopian (FDRE) has
received a loan from the African Development Fund in the amount of
UA 29.67 million towards the cost of the Primary Health Care
Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the loan to
cover eligible payments under the contracts for the supply of
Medical Equipment for 21 Health Posts and 39 Health Centers. Bidding
is open to all bidders from eligible member countries as defined in
the ADB’s Rules of Procedure for the Procurement of Goods and Works.
The Ministry of Health now invites sealed bids from

bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding
documents at the same address.
