1. The
Ethiopian Roads Authority invites sealed bids from registered
suppliers under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) for the
supply of Spare Part for various equipment to be delivered at
Ethiopian Roads Authority, Central Warehouse in Addis Ababa.
2. A
supplier who wishes to participate in the bidding but not registered
in the Approved Supplier’s list may apply to the relevant authority
for registration and also are required to submit VAT registration
certificate.
3. Interested
registered bidders may purchase a complete set of bidding document
from the office of Procurement Service s, Room No. 106 during
official working hours against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr
100 for each lot or in another freely considerable currency of
equivalent amount and upon presentation of Trade License renewed for
1999 E.C. and Tax clearance certificate.
4. This
invitation for bid is open to all interested bidders regardless of
their nationality and the bid evaluation and award shall be
determined in accordance with the provision indicated in the biding
document. The biding document is prepared in English Language.
5. Bid
must be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the 1st
floor Room No. 106 before the closing date and time on May 10, 2007
at 10:00 A.M.
6. Bids
must be accompanied with a bid security or in another freely
convertible currency of an equivalent amount. The bid security
should be either in a form of Cashier’s cheque or Certified cheque
or Letter of Credit or Bank Guarantee or cash deposited against
receipt. Bid securities in the form of Insurance bond or in any form
other these shall not be acceptable.

Bids will be opened at 10:00 A.M. on May 10, 2007 in the
Ethiopian Roads Authority Conference Room located at the 4th
floor, in the presence of bidders and/or their representatives who
choose to attend.
8.
The Ethiopian Roads Authority reserves its rights, to reject
any or all bids.
