1. The
Pastoral Communities of Arero, Miyo & Dire Woredas have
received a fund from Pastoral Community Development Project (PCDP)
which is funded by World Bank (IDA), IFAD & Government of which its
part is allocated for drilling and well completion works of 16
boreholes, which are located in Borean Zone of the Oromia
National Regional State.
2. The
Oromia Regional Project Coordination Unit (ORPCU) on the behalf of
the communities of Arero, Miyo & Dire Woredas now invites eligible
bidders for the contract of water wells drilling, installation of
casing, gravel packing, well development, pump test & water quality
test, well construction and completion of the wells including the
supply of all required materials for the same.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by
interested bidders upon presentation of renewed relevant license for
1999 E.C. registration card issued from the Ministry of
Infrastructure & Water Resources, VAT registration certificate and
Tax Identification Number (TIN) together with written Application to
the above office and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr
200 (Two Hundred) Ethiopian Birr only.
5.
Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before May
11, 2007 at 11:30 A.M. and
must be accompanied by a bid bond (C.P.O.) of 1% (One percent) of
the bid amount, The bid will stay for the next 28 consecutive days
from the date of announcement.
6. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders or their legal
representatives at 02:00 P.M. on the same day i.e. May 11, 2007 at
the Oromia Pastoral Area development Commission office.
7. The
Oromia Region Project Coordination unit reserves the right to reject
part and/or all the bids.
