1. Hawassa
University has received a credit from World Bank for Post Secondary
Education Project (PSEP) Under Development Innovative Fund (DIF)
toward the cost of Enhancement of Applied Chemistry Laboratory (FNS)
project and intended to apply part of the funds to cover eligible
payments under procurement of
Laboratory equipment
Glassware & chemicals for which this
invitation for bid is issued
2. The
bidder shave to present registration certificate from the Federal
Ministry of Finance and Economic Development renewed trade license
for the year, Calendar Letter and VAT registration certificate as
indicated in the tender documents.

Bidders have the option to bid for all or any more.
4. Detail
information will be found in the biding document which are
obtainable during working hours from Higher Tender Office of the
University, Awassa or from Ministry of Education office no. 119,
Hawassa University Liaison office upon payment of non-refundable
amount of Birr 50 (Fifty Birr).
5.
Sealed bid must be submitted both in one envelope one
original and one copy envelopes, and be submitted in the tender box
up to the closing date.
6.
All bids must be accompanied by bid bond Birr 25,000
(Twenty-Five Thousand).
7. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
on or before 2:30 P.M. on May 17, 2007.
8. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders and/or their
representatives who wish to attend on May 17, 2007
at 2:30 P.M. at Awassa
College of Agriculture tender committee office.
9.
The University reserves the right to accept or reject any or
all bids.
