1. The
Ethiopian Roads Authority invites sealed bids from registered
supplier under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) for the
supply for Spare Parts for various equipment to be delivered
at Ethiopian Roads Authority, Central Warehouse in Addis Ababa.
2.
A supplier who wishes to participate in this bidding but not
registered in the Approved Supplier’s list may apply to the relevant
authority for registration and also are required to submit VAT
registration certificate.
3.
Interested registered bidders may purchase a complete set of
bidding document from the office of Procurement Services, Room No.
106 during official working hours against payment of non-refundable
fee of Birr 100 for each lot or in another freely convertible
currency of equivalent amount and upon presentation of Trade License
renewed for 1999 E.C. and Tax clearance certificate.
4.
This invitation for bid is open to all interested bidders
regardless of their nationality and the bid evaluation and award
shall be determined in accordance with the provision indicated in
the bidding document. The bidding document is prepared in English
Language.
5.
Bid must be accompanied with a bid security or in another
freely convertible currency of an equivalent amount. The b id
security should be in a form of Cashier’s cheque or Certified cheque
or Letter of Credit or Bank Guarantee or cash deposited against
receipt. Bid securities in the form of Insurance bond or in any form
other than these shall not be acceptable.
6.
Bids must be accompanied with a bid security or in another
freely convertible currency of an equivalent amount. The bid
security should be either in a form of Cashier’s cheque or Certified
cheque or Letter of Credit or Bank Guarantee or cash deposited
against receipt. Bid securities in the form of Insurance bond or in
any other than these shall not be acceptable.

7. Bids
will be opened at 10:00 A.M. on May 29, 2007 in the Ethiopian Roads
Authority Conference Room located at the 4th floor, in
the presence of bidders and/or their representatives who choose to
attend.
8. The
Ethiopian Roads Authority reserves its rights, to reject any or all
bids.
