1. Addis
Ababa City Roads authority now invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the purchase of fuel, Oil & Lubricants.
2. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from:

3. A
complete set of the bidding document can be purchased by any
interested bidder from the date of first announcement upon payment
of a non-refundable fee of Birr 50.00 (Fifty Birr).
4.
Bidders should submit currently renewed license, VAT
certificate and supplier’s registration certificate from the
Ministry of Finance.
5.
All bids must be accompanied by bid security not less birr
50,000 (Fifty Thousand Birr) The bid bond must be in one of the
following forms, I. Cash ii. Certified Cheque (CPO) issued by a
recognized domestic bank or Bond issued and/or confirmed through a
recognized domestic Bank.
6. The
Bank that issues the bond as per 5.ii here above shall unequivocally
guarantee to pay the purchaser immediately upon the first written
demand of payment. The purchaser’s written demand of payment shall
not be subject to any condition whatsoever.
7. The
bond-issuing bank shall clearly incorporate the content stated under
no. 6 here in above on the issued bond.
8.
The bid bond shall be separately enclosed and submitted to
our finance division against receipt.
9. Bidders
should submit their offer in a wax-sealed envelope (i.e. technical
and financial proposal separately) to AACRA’s head office on May 24
2007 at 10:00 A.M. Bid will be opened in the presence of interested
bidders or their representatives on the same date and time at
AACRA’s Head Office.
