The Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority invites
interested bidders for the supply of:-
Lot I.
Submersible Borehole Water Pumps
Lot II. GS riser
pipes & Fittings
Lot III.
Appurtenances
Lot IV. Surface
Water Pumps
Lot V.
Installation

The bid documents shall be obtained from the same office
against payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200 during office
hours upon presentation of registration certificate from the Federal
Ministry of Finance, renewed trade license for the year & VAT
registration certificate.
3.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at
the Office of A.A.W.S.A’s Purchase Division located at Megenagna,
P.O. Box 1505, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 011-662 00 10, 01166218
02, Fax (251-011)662 39 24.
4.
All bids shall be accompanied by bid bond of Birr 10,000 up
to 50,000 in the form of Bank Guarantee or Certified payment Order (C.P.O.)
or Cash for each lot. Bid Bond in any other form shall not be
acceptable.
5.
Bids shall be submitted in two separate envelopes: 1.
Technical envelope 2. Financial Envelope each having one original
and one copy.
6.
All eligibility certificates cited under No.2 shall be found
in the original technical envelope, and are submitted in the tender
box on the closing date.
7.
Bid bond shall be in a separate envelope and be submitted in
the tender box together with the original technical envelope.
8.
If the supplier is not manufacturer, he shall provide an
affidavit of compliance (Suppliers Authorization) from the
manufacturer.
9.
All bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for
this purpose at or before 10:00 A.M. local time on May 22, 2007.
10.
Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their
official representatives who wish to attend, on May 22, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. local time.
11.
Failure to comply with any one of the conditions from (4) to
(9) indicated above shall result in automatic rejection.
12.
The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or
all bids.
