The Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority invites general
Contractors of grade 5 and above with a registration certificate
from ministry of Works and Urban Development for the year 2007 &
2008 for the construction and completion of sewer line extension in
Woreda 17, Kebele 05, 06 & 17 and valve Chambers along geffersa
Water Transmission Main.
2.
The work consists of two lots:
Lot I. Construction of valve
chambers along Geferssa Water transmission line as described in the
specification, BOQ and Drawings.
Lot II. Construction of secondary
sewer lines, manholes, connections to the Secondary sewer lines in
the city as described in the specification, BOQ and Drawings.
Bidders shall participate for both lots. Partial offers are not
acceptable.
3.
The Bid documents shall be available from the same office
against payment of anon-refundable fee of Birr 100 during office
hours upon presentation of registration certificated from the
Federal Ministry of finance economic Development, renewed trade
license for the year & VAT registration certificate.
4.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at

All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security of 1% of the
bid price, in the form of a bank guaranty, C.P.O. or Insurance
guaranty from recognized financial institutions in sealed envelope
and be submitted in the tender box together with the original
technical document before the closing time.
6.
Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelope, One original &
One copy.
7.
All eligibility certificates should be found in the original
technical envelope, and be submitted before the closing time.
8.
All bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for
this purpose on or before 10:00 A.M. local time on
May 31, 2007.
9.
Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders and or their
official representatives who wish to attend, on
May 31, 2007
at 10:30 A.M. local time.
10.
The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or
all bids.
Failure to comply any of the
conditions from (4) to (8) above will result in automatic rejection.
