1. Sustainable
Water Harvesting and Institutional Strengthening in Amhara (SWHISA)
is a capacity building undertaking of the government of Amhara and
Canada. It has allocated funds to be used for the construction of
borehole, electromechanical installation, pump house and irrigation
infrastructure in the following area:

2. This
bid invitation is open to all contractors of categories GC 4 and
above with a license
valid for the year 1999 E.C. and licensed for
water works construction from Ministry of
Water Resources.
3. Bid
documents can be obtained from SWHISA Central Coordinating Office,
Alma Building, Room No. Go09 Bahir
Dar during office hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr
100 (One Hundred Birr Only).
4. All
bids must be accompanied by bid security equipment to Birr 30,409
(Thirty Thousand Four Hundred Nine). The bid security can be in the
form of Bank Guarantee, CPO, certified cheque or insurance bond.
5. Bidders
should present currently renewed trade license, VAR registration
certificate, TIN and suppliers registration certificate.
6. All
bids shall be in fixed price. No price adjustment is allowed.
The price quoted shall be in local currency Birr.
7. Bids
shall be in valid for a period of 120 days after bid opening date.
8. The
offer should be prepared in two: Original and one copy for both
Technical & Financial separately and it should be properly marked,
addressed, wax-sealed and stamped.

All bids shall be delivered to SWHISA Central Office, Alma
building Room No. G09, Bahir Dar, Or P.O. Box 325, Bahir Dar.
10.
Bid closing date shall be on the 21st calendar day
counted from the date of the announcement (day 1) on The Ethiopia
Herald at 2:00 P.M.
11.
Bids will be opened at 3:00 P.M. on the bid closing date in
the presence of bidders or their legal representatives who choose to
attend.
