Invitation for Bids for the Supply of
equipments &
Furniture/ NCB
1.
The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
has received a loan and grant from the African Development Fund in
the amount of UA 32.3 million towards the cost of Education III
project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the funds to
cover eligible payments under the contract(s) for the procurement of
equipment’s, including delivery up to the site (10) 1st
cycle primary schools in the Gurage zone of the Southern Nations,
Nationalities & Peoples Region.
2. The
Southern Nations, Nationalities & Peoples Regional Education Bureau
now invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for any or all
items listed below.

3.
Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries
as defined in the ADB’s Riles of
Procedure for procurement of Goods
& Works. Interested eligible bidders should submit a
license (copy)
valid for the year 2006/2007 and VAT certificate together.
4. Bidding
documents may be purchased from the Southern Nations, Nationalities
& Peoples Regional Education Bureau, Room Number 26, Awassa, for
non-refundable fee of 100 (Hundred) Birr or its equivalent in a
freely-convertible currency, for each bidding document
5. Bids
shall be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening day and
must be delivered to the above office on or before 2:00 P.M.
date/Starting from August 21, 2007/ 45 calendar days after
publication and must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the
bid amount in Birr or its equivalent in a convertible currency in
the form of certified check (CPO), bank draft, letter of credit
or a bank guarantee from a reputable bank located in Ethiopia or in
any eligible country. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders
or representatives who wish to attend at 2:30 P.M. the same date in the above office.
6.

7. The
SNNPRG Education Bureau, reserves the right to reject any or all
