1.
The Bureau for Water Resource, Mines and Energy of the
Government of Tigray Regional State has allocated budget towards the
cost of Mekele Water Supply Development Project. The bureau now
invites eligible consultants with renewed license, VAT registered
for the year under bid for carrying out geotechnical & geophysical
investigations necessary for design and construction of North Giba dam and Water treatment plant.
2. The
bidding is open to all bidders who can provide evidence acceptable
to the employer of successful implementation by the bidder of
similar undertaking in the last five (5) years.
3. A
complete set of bid document can be purchased by any interested
eligible bidder from Tigray Water Resources, Mines and Energy
Bureau, Office No. 05 by submission of a written application to the
bureau upon a payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 400 ETB (Four
Hundred Birr) for each complete set bid document. Bidders may obtain

4. The
sealed envelope containing the technical and financial proposals
separately shall be addressed to the Bureau, or submitted to office
No. 05 in the bureau not later than September 20, presence of the
bidders or their representatives including those of absence of the
bidders or their representatives including those of absentees at the
above stated office at 3:00 P.M.
5. A
bid must be accompanied by a guarantee of not less than Ethiopian
Birr Fifty Thousand (Birr ETB 50,000) or equivalent in other
internationally prominent currency to the satisfaction of the
employer or in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) in the following forms:
a)
A bank guarantee issued directly by a reputable bank in
Ethiopia or
b)
A cashier’s certified cheque (CPO)
6.
Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after
bid opening
7. A
firm will be selected under quality and cost based selection (QCBS)
method & procedures described in the bid document.
8. The
Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bids, at any
time prior to the award of contract, without thereby incurring any
liability to the affected bidder or bidders or any obligation to
inform the affected bidder or bidders of the grounds for the
employer’s action.
