Section I Invitation for Bids
Re. ICB 06/2007
1. The
Oromia Water Resources Bureau has secured a budget for the cost of
Design, Supply and Installation of Electro-Mechanical equipment for
Nekemete town Water Supply Project.
2. The
Oromia Water resources Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the Design, Supply and Installation of surface
centrifugal pumps, treatment plant equipment, standby diesel
generating unit complete with all accessories, tools and spares.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
bidding documents at the office:

4. a
complete set of bidding document may be purchased by any interested
eligible bidder on submission of written application together with
renewed relevant license, registration card issued from the Ministry
of Finance & Economic Development, registration card for VAT, tax
payer registration certificate (Tax Identification Number/tin) to
the above office, and upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr
1000 (One Thousand birr).
5. Sealed
bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 4th
day of October 2007 at 12:00 A.M.
6. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of not less than 1% (One
Percent) of the bid price and in the form of:
a)
CPO or a Bank Guarantee or irrevocable letter of credit
issued by a reputable domestic bank or
b)
A cashier’s or certified cheque
7. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend at the Office of the bureau Head, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the same date at
2:00 P.M. i.e. 4th
of October 2007.
8. Bids
shall be valid for a period of 120 days (One Hundred and Twenty
days) after the bid opening.
9. In
the comparison of evaluated bids, the Employer will grant a margin
of presence of 7 ½ % (Seven and Half percent) to a qualified
domestic contractor.
10. Minimum
qualification criteria for bidders shall be a proved successful
implementation by the bidder of similar undertakings for at least
five years, including certified continuous successful operation of
the facilities for a minimum of three years.
11. The
Bureau reserves the right to reject any or all bids. |
