1. Geological
Survey of Ethiopia invites sealed bids from interested eligible
bidders for the purchase of training in DIGITAL REMOTE SENSING
METHODOLOGIES AND TECHNIQUES.
2. The
training course should include all theoretical aspects of the modern
digital remote sensing and applications of aerial photographs
satellite images and STRM data to geological mapping i.e. lithologie
discrimination, structure delineation and alteration mapping.
3. The
bid documents shall be obtained from our Procurement Office Room No.
214 against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 20 for each bid
during office hours upon presentation of Registration certificate
from the Federal Ministry of Finance and Economic Development,
clearance from Inland Revenue Administration, renewed trade for the
current year and VAT registration certificate.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office of the
Survey’s procurement office room no. 212 or 214, P.O. Box 2302,
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 011-646 35 84 or 011-646 44 71, Fax :251
11-646 33 26.
5. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of Birr 5,000 in the form of
Bank Guarantee or cashier’s payment order (C.P.O). Bid Bond in any
other form shall not be acceptable.
6. Bids
shall be submitted in two separate envelopes.1/ Technical envelope
2/Financial envelope each having one original and one copy
7. All
eligible certificates cited in item No. 3 (Registration certificate
from the Federal Ministry of Finance & Economic Development,
Clearance from Inland Revenue Administration, renewed trade license
for the current year and VAT registration certificate, should be
found in the original technical, envelope, and placed in the tender
box on or before the final bid submission date.
8. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
on or before 10:00 AM local time on
September 25, 2007.
9. Bids
will be opened on the same date at 10:15 AM local time in the presence of bidders and/or their official
representatives.
10. Geological
Survey of Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
bids. Failure to comply with any of the conditions from 5 to 9
mentioned above will result in automatic rejection.
11. The
purchaser reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids.
