this year (2007).
1. The
NATIONAL TOBACCO ENTERPRISE SHARE COMPANY has funds within
the employer’s budget to be used for the procurement of Compound
Asphalt Works at Addis
Ababa.
2. The
NATIONAL TOBACCO ENTERPRISE SHARE COMPANY invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders of GC/RC Class 4 and above for the
provision of Compound
Gravel Road at A. A., Kaliti.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures
contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Federal
Government of Ethiopia and is open to all eligible bidders.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from National
Tobacco Enterprise S. Co.
5. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased as of August
29/2007 by interested eligible bidders on submission of a
written application, Vat registration certificate, Ministry of
Infrastructure registration certificate, trade & industry
development license & supporting letter at the address below at
7 (b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 225 Eth Birr.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 7 (c ) at or before
2:30 PM. On October 2/2207. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Ethiopian Birr
50,000.00 from recognized financial institutions payable on first
demand addressed to the employer.
Late bids shall be rejected. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend at the address below at 7 (d) at
3:00 PM. On October 2/2007.8

8. Bidders
are instructed to submit one “Original” and one “Photocopy”
of the Qualification Information Documents, and one Original
and one Photocopy of the Financial bid documents in a
separate Envelope.
9. The
employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidders are instructed to fill,
sign and seal all the form of the bid documents. Failure of this
instruction may lead to bid rejection.
All bids must include Value Added
Tax (VAT) on the summary of the price.
Partial rebate, like fixed sum and
rebate on some items is not acceptable.
