1.      This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development business, issue No. 683 of 31 July 2006.

2.      The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Ethiopian ICT Development Agency, Public Sector capacity program support project-PSCAP and it itends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for the Procurement of Goods for Information Systems (Hardware, Software & Security Systems)

3.      The Ethiopian Information Communication Technology Development Agency, Public sector capacity program support project PSCAP now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of the following:

Lot One (1)
Item 1. Security software 4 Software with a total of 25 Agents
Lot two (2)
Item 1: security hardware Physical security-14 Line Items
Bidders have the option to bid for one or more lots.

4.      Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopia ICT Development Agency; Public sector capacity program support project-PSCAP Project and inspect the bidding documents during working days and hours from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 and from 1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. at the address given below

6.      Qualifications requirements include:

1. Must have two years experience involving hardware delivery, installation and support, software installation
2. Must have proven domain knowledge in security, safety, storage and backup systems…etc.

7.      A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 200 (Two Hundred Birr) or USD 24 or equivalent in a freely convertible currency. Our A/C No. is NBE-A/C No. 0160101336300. The method of payment will be cash or casheir’s Check. The Bidding documents will be sent by courier service.

8.      Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00 A.M. September 6, 2007. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend in person or on-line at the Conference Hall of ICT AD Project: Dembel City Center, 11^th floor using lift 2 or Lift no. 3 at 10:30 September 6, 2007. A Bid Security of not less than Birr 7500 must accompany all bids.
