  TO: All National Contractors of Category GC/BC Class 6 (six) and above with Renewed
         License and Registration Certificate Valid for the year 2007. 

1. The Ethiopian Red Cross Society, Benishangul Gumuz National Regional Branch now invites wax-sealed bids from eligible bidders for furnishing the necessary labor, materials and equipment for the construction and completion of Youth Center Building in Assosa Town.
    
2. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidder from ERCS, Benishangul Gumuz National Region Branch, Tel. 251-057-775 02 45, P.O. Box 129, Assosa, upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 550 (Five Hundred Fifty Birr only). Additional set of documents may be purchased at the same price.
    
3. Bidders may obtain further information, and inspect and acquire the bidding documents at the above office.
    
4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, in an acceptable form (Cash CPO or Bank Guarantee) of 1%Prepared in the name of ERCS, Benishangul Gumuz National Region Branch’, and must be submitted on or before 12:00 AM August 23, 2007 at the address specified in clause 2 above.
    
5. Bids will be opened and read in the presence of those bidders or their authorized representatives who are willing to attend at 2:00 PM on the same day at the address specified in clause 2 above.
    
6. The construction of the works shall be completed within a maximum of 290 (Two Hundred Ninety) calendar days starting from the commencement of the work.
    
7. Bidders are required to fill all the necessary details requested in the schedules.

       The Employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
