1. The
Ministry of Education has funds to be used for the
Procurement of Basic and Advanced Laboratory Equipment and
Chemicals for the New Universities to be opened.
2. The
Procurement Services Enterprise on behalf of Ministry of
education hereby invites bids from eligible bidders for the
supply of:

3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open International
Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures contained in the Public
Procurement Proclamation of the Government of the Federal Democratic
Republic of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders from eligible source
countries.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Procurement
Services Enterprise on behalf of Ministry of Education
and inspect the bidding documents at the address below during office
hours from Monday to Thursday Morning 8:00 AM-12:00 noon and
Afternoon 1:00 PM-5:00 PM and Friday Morning 8:00 AM-11:30 AM and
Afternoon 1:00 PM-5:00 PM and Friday Morning 8:00 AM-11:30 AM and
Afternoon 1:30 PM-5:00 PM.

A complete set of bidding documents is English language may
be purchased by interested bidders at the address below upon payment
of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100.00 (One Hundred) for each and
every Lot from the office of the Procurement Services Enterprise 1st
Floor-Room No.2.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before September 26,
2007 at 2:30 PM. All bids must be accompanied by bid security
amounting Birr 100,000.00 (Birr One Hundred Thousand) for Lot
1 & 2 each and Birr 50,000.00 (Fifty thousand Birr) for Lot 3
in the form of CPO or Bank guarantee counter guaranteed by the local
bankers. Late bids shall be rejected.
7. The
bid opening date and hour shall be
September 26, 2007 at 2:30 PM
at Procurement Services
Enterprise, Conference Hall in the presence of the
bidders/representatives who choose to attend.
8. The
purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
