To All
Contractors of Category GC Class 6 or above, with license valid for
the year 2007/2008.
1. The
Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) Water and
Sanitation Development and Rehabilitation Project Office invites
eligible bidders for furnishing the necessary labor, material,
equipment and services for the construction and complete of Sludge
Injection Station. The work consists of construction of houses,
construction of injection structure, construction of service road
and barbed wire fencing.
2. The
construction works shall be completed in 90 Calendar days from the
commencement day of the works.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may purchase a Bidding Document, upon presentation
shall be registered in the Ministry of Water Resources, have renewed
trade license for the year 2007/2008 (2000 E.C.) from Ministry of
Trade and Industry, VAT & Tax payer’s registration certificate.
4. A
complete set of bidding Documents will be available from December
14, 2007 onwards during office hours against payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 (Two Hundred Birr) from the
under mentioned project office.
5. Bids
shall be submitted in two separate envelopes on TECHNICAL and
the other FINANCIAL separately each having one original and
two copies.
6. All
envelopes shall be inserted in a bigger envelope and all shall be
wax-sealed. The outer and inner envelopes shall also bear the
following: “DO NOT OPEN BEFORE
JANUARY 14, 2008, 10:00 O’CLOCK”
Bids must be deposited in
the tender box prepared for this purpose at AAWSA water and
sanitation development & rehabilitation project office on or before
January 14, 2008, 10:00
o’clock.
7. Bidders
are advised to read the Instructions to Bidders before filling in
their bids and must quote for all items of work in each lot.
8. All
bids must be accompanied by Bid Bond, in the form of Bank guarantee,
CPO or cashier’s check amounting of Birr 10,000.00 (Ten Thousand
Birr Only). Bid Bond in any form shall not be acceptable.
9. Bids
shall be opened on January
14, 2008, 10:00 o’clock at
The Project Office in the presence of the bidders or their legal
representatives who wish to attend.
10. The
Addis Ababa Water Supply and Sanitation Development and offers
without giving reasons for doing so.
