1. The
Education Materials Production and Distribution Enterprise (EMPDE)
intends to procure Capital Items, Tools and Spare parts for its
Educational Materials production and Technical Department; and for
the printing House workshop through International Competitive Bids
with EMPDE’s Fund.
2. Detailed
information is stated in the bidding document which are obtained
during working hours from the Commercial Department of EMPDE, Room
No. 35 upon payment of a non-refundable amount of Birr 230.00 (Two
Hundred Thirty Only) as of December 9, 2007.
3. Bidders
requiring bidding document by first class Air Mail should send a
Crossed Bank Draft of Birr 200.00 or an equivalent amount in foreign
currency drawn in favor of EMPDE, in addition to the price of the
document indicated in paragraph 3.
4. Bids
must be submitted, sealed and marked as: Tender No. EMPDE
3/2000/ICB/2007 for capital Items, Tools electrical spare parts &
science kits at the address stated in paragraph 6 below.
5. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond amount of 2% in the bid’s
currency & in the form of counter guaranteed Bank Guarantee or CPO
Cheque established through any Bank in Ethiopia, addressed to EMPDE,
P.O. Box 5549, Tel 646 34 81 Or 646 35 55 Ext. 230 so as to reach on
or before January 23, 2008 at 9:30 A.M.
6. Technical
Document received on the said deadline will be publicly open in the
presence of bidders or their representatives at 10:00 A.M. on the same date.
7. The
Education Materials Production and Distribution Enterprise (EMPDE)
reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
