The Privatization and Public Enterprise Supervising Agency (PPESA) of the Government of Ethiopia has received a grant amounting to UA 3.0 million from the African Development Fund in various currencies to finance the cost of Privatization Technical Assistance Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this grant will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Purchase of various IT and office equipment,., The PPESA now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of IT Hardware grouped under the following three lots:

Lot I     (workstations)

Lot II    (UPS, CD burners, memory sticks, printers, scanners and printer sharers)

Lot III (fax machines and photocopy machines)

Bidders can submit complete bids for either one of more lots. Bid(s) submitted for partial lots will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected.

Interested bidders may purchase a complete set of bidding document from the Information and Documentation Center, Room No. 614, 6th Floor of PPESA upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 300.

Bids must be delivered to the Information and Documentation Center of PPESA, Room No. 614, 6th Floor on or before 16:00 hours local time on 05 March 2007 and must be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 3,000 for Lot I, Birr 2,000 for Lot II and Birr 1,000 for Lot III, respectively.

Bidders should attach copies of a valid and renewed trade license and a certificate of registration from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their legal represeatnvies who choose to attend on 05 March 2007 at 16:30 hours in Conference Hall of PPESA, Room No. 509, 5th Floor of the Privatization and Public Enterprise Supervising Agency (PPESA).

The Purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject part or any bids, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award.
