The Oromia Regional State Through the Government of Ethiopia
has received credit from International Development association
toward eth cost of the water Supply and Sanitation Project and it
intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments
under the Contract for Procurement of 30 Dewatering pumps with
accessories and 30 Portable Generators with Accessories for the
Rural Water Supply Program in the Region.
The Oromia Regional Water Resources Bureau now invites sealed
bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of 30
Dewatering pumps with accessories and 30 Portable Generators with
pumps & with Accessories

Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive
Bidding (NCB) as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines:
Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all
bidders from eligible bidders as defined in the Guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information
from the address given below from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. & from
1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. Monday to Friday.
To be qualified for the award of contract, Suppliers should
have delivered at least two contracts of a similar type and quantity
in the last three years, and pumps must be manufactured by companies
that have fabricated dewatering pumps & Generators for at least
three year in annual quantities at list five items that to be
supplies under this contract. Additional details are provided in the
complete set of bidding document in English may be purchased by
interested bides on the submission of a written Application to the
Oromia Regional Water Resources Bureau, Program Support Staff Office
at the address given below, upon payment of ETB 150 non-refundable
fee. The method of payment will be in cash or cheque against
receipt. A person delegated by the bidders can collect the bidding
must be delivered to the Oromia Regional Water Resources Bureau,
Program Support Staff Office, Room number 401 at or before 10:00
A.M. on March 22, 2007. Electronic bidding will not be permitted.
Late bids will be rejected.

choose to attend in person at 10:30 A.M. on the same day March 22,
2007 at the Oromia Regional Water Resources Bureau, Conference Hall,
3rd floor. Bids shall be valid for a period of Ninety
(90) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security
(CPO) of not less than 1% of the total bid price in local currency.
The Regional Water Resources Bureau reserves the right to reject all
or part of the bid.
