contracts of category GC/RC-4 with license valid for the currency
fiscal year.
1. The
Government of FDRE has obtained a grant from the German Financial
Cooperation (KFW) for financing the “Urban Development Fund” (UDF).
Portion of this fund has been allocated for Adigrat City
Administration, the cost of construction work of Road Upgrading.
2. The
Adigrat City Administration invites qualified contracts for stated
category with relevant experience and valid license for the current
fiscal year to submit wax-sealed tenders for the civil works
construction of Adigrat Road Upgrading project.
3. Bidders
must have a valid registration certificate from Ministry of World
and Urban Development and must be registered for VAT.
4. The
construction work shall be completed within 210 calendar days from
the commencement of the works.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information
from and inspect the biding documents at the office of:

6. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased against
non-refundable fee of Birr 500.00 from above No. 5
7.
The tender must be accompanied by a tender security in an
amount of ETB 100,000.00 in the form of certified cheque, bank
draft, letter of credit, or bank guarantee from a reputable bank in
Ethiopian in the form provided in the Tender Documents.
8.
Tenders must be delivered to the address given above No. 5 on
or before 2:00 P.M. on January 16, 2007 G.C.
9.
Tenders will be opened on the same day at 2:00 P.M. in the
presence of those Tenders/representatives who choose to attend at
the Conference Hall of Adigrat Municipality.
10.
Tenders shall be valid for the period of ninety (90) days
after tendering opening.
11.
The City Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all
bids
