Description

Hope for the Horn (HFH), a local NGO operating in the Somali Region, has secured funding from the European Union (EU) through German Agro Action (GAA) an International NGO. HFH wants to invite all interested and eligible bidders to hire heavy machinery namely 3 dump trucks; one grader; and one compactor in good condition for the project: Enhanced food, forage and water security for pastoralists in Aware District, Degehabur Zone in Somali Region.

All bidders shall provide written application with original and copies of their:-

1. License for machinery rent defining the legal status with renewal for the year under consideration;

2. Registration with Ministry of Finance;

3. Evidence for settlement of current tax obligation.

Bid documents shall be obtained from Hope of the Horn, HQ located in Bole Road, near Mega building beside Loza Café in Woreda 18 Kebele 26 House # 302/01 1^st Floor of Jijiga Branch Office behind IRC Office (Tel. 0257-75 28 96 or mobiles 0915-75 00 79/0911-55 45 89), during office hours 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. within 15 calendar days after this announcement. The closing date will be on the 26^th January 2007 at 11:00 A.M.

 All bids must be accompanied by a 2% of bid security in eth form of C.P.O. All bids shall be wax-sealed and vividly marked. All bids for the rennet of heavy machinery should be delivered to the HFH HQ, AA of to HFH branch Office in Jijiga latest by the 26^th of January 2007 before 11:00 A.M.

The bid will be opened at Hope for the Horn Jijiga on the 29^th of January 2007 at 10:00 A.M. in the presence of bidders or their representatives.

Bidders are requested to fulfill all the necessary details in the bid documents.

Hope for the Horn reserves the right to fully or partially cancel the bid.
