1. The
Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority invites interested eligible
bidders for the supply of :
Lot I: Water Jetting truck, (6m3)
Lot II: Dump Truck, (3 to 4 m3)
Lot III: Dumper, 3000 Kg payload)
Lot IV: Plate compactor, (min. 140 Kg operating weight)

The Bid documents shall be obtained from the same office
against payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 during
office hours upon presentation of registration certificate from the
Federal Ministry of Finance & Economic Development, renewed trade
license for the year & VAT registration certificate.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information at the Office of
A.A.W.S.A’s Purchase Division located at Megenagna, P.O. Box 1505,
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 011 662 00 10/011 662 18 02, Fax
(251-011) 662 39 24.
4. All
bids shall be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 50,000 up to
100,000 in the form of Bank Guarantee or Certified Payment Order
(C.P.O.) or Cash. Bid bond in any other form shall not be
acceptable.
5. Bids
shall be submitted in two separate envelopes: 1. Technical envelope
2. Financial envelope each having one original and one copy.
6. All
eligibility certificates cited under No. 2 shall be found in the
original technical envelope, and be submitted in the tender box on
the closing date.
7.
Bid bond shall be in separate envelope and be submitted in
the tender box together with the original technical envelope.
8. If
the suppliers are not manufactures, he shall provide an affidavit of
compliance (Suppliers Authorization) from the manufacturer.
9. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
at or before 5:00 P.M. local time on January 31, 2007.
10. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official
representatives who wish to attend, on Februarys 1, 2007at
10:00 A.M. local time.
11. Failure
to comply with any of the conditions form (4) to (9) indicated above
will result in automatic
rejection.
12.
The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or
all bids.
