The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received
grant form the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (GFATM) for
the implementation of National Programs of HIV/AIDS. It for the
implementation of National Programs of HIV/AIDS. It intends to use
part of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under the
contract for which this invitation to bid is issued.

The Federal Ministry for Health, Pharmaceuticals Supply and
Logistics P/Department (PSLD) now invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the supply of: Drugs for opportunistic infections.
3.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive
Bidding procedures specified in the Government Procurement
Guidelines and are open to all bidders from eligible source counties
as defined in the Guidelines.

The Bid Evaluation will be conducted on item by items basis
and bidders will have the chance to participate for each of the
items.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information
from PSLD and inspect the bidding documents at the Tenders Committee
Secretary office at the address: Federal ministry of Health, Office
of Secretary of the tender Committee, Woreda 3, Kebele 53, Sudan
Street, Tel. 251 11 515 17 90/53 51 55, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from
the date this advertisement appearance in The Ethiopian Herald
during Office Hours.
6. A
complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the
address mentioned above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of
Eth. Birr 100. The method of payment will be cash or certified
check.
7. Bid
must be delivered to the Tender Committee Secretary office at the
above mentioned address on or before February 06, 2007 at 2:00 P.M.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security on Ethiopian Birr
indicated on the bid document in the form of CPO or Bank Guarantee.
Insurance Bond is not acceptable.
8. Late
bids will be rejected and the purchaser reserves the right to reject
the bid in full or partially.
9.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the
bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the address below on
06 February 2007 at 2:30 P.M.
