The Ministry of Women’s Affairs would like to invite eligible firms
to make legal review in order to prepare consolidate Child Law, as
per the terms and conditions specified below:
1.
Objective of Review
The review and analyse national laws and international legal
instruments so as to lay ground for the preparation of consolidated
child law.
2.
Scope of the Review
All national laws pertaining to children’s issue and UN Conventions,
Covenants, Protocols, Guidelines, and Rules ratified or adopted by
Ethiopia and other contributive instruments and practices shall be
reviewed and put together so as to prepare consolidated child law.
3.
Qualification and Experience
Experienced research consultancy firm having analysts with a minimum
of Master’s Degree in law with strong background in the analysis of
national and, international laws mainly in human rights in general
and child rights and welfare (skills in conventions, protocol, rules
and guidelines) in particular in essential.
Research experiences in the areas of international legal instruments
and norms would be an added advantage as well as knowledge of child
welfare policy environment and initiatives in Africa and Ethiopia.

years work experience in the area is required.
4.
Duration: Maximum 4 Months
Bid document can be obtained, immediately after the announcement
within 30 days upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 50 (Fifty
Birr), from general service of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs
(MoWA).
Eligible consulting firms with relevant qualification and experience
and having renewed their license for 1999 E.C., and registered by
the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development are invited to
submit their technical and financial proposal in two separate
wax-sealed envelopes within 30 days of the announcement of General
Service of the Ministry.
The bid will be closed within 30 days of the first announcement and
will be opened on the next day in the presence of bidders and or
their legal representatives. The Ministry reserves the right to
accept or reject any or all bids.
