1.
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has
received a loan from the Africa Development Bank/Found towards the
cost of Agricultural Sector Support Project and intends to
apply part of the funds to cover the eligible payments under the
Contract for Construction of the following Small Scale irrigation
Projects in Amahara Regional States.
2.
The Amahara National Regional State Water Resource
Development Bureau on behalf of Federal Democratic Republic of
Ethiopia invites eligible contractors to submit sealed bids for the
execution and completion of the following Project.

Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible countries as
defined in the ADB’s Rulers procedures for the procurement of goods
and works as well as to those domestic contractors in stated
category who have valid license of the current year for water
construction.
4.
Interested eligible bidders could purchased the bidding
documents upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 100 (One
Hundred only) from Procurement, Transport and Suppliers Management
services of Water Resources Development Bureau Room No. 6 at Bahir
Dar Near Bahr Dar University Main campus.
5. All
bids must be in fixed price, no price adjustment will be allowed.
6. Bids
will be valid for period of 120 days after bid closing and must be
accompanied by security of as stated in the above in the form of a
certified check, bank draft, letter of credit, or a bank guarantee
from a reputable bank located in the country of the Employer or in
any eligible country abroad.
7. Bids
shall be sealed and delivered to Water Resources Development Bureau
Room No. 6 at Bahir Dar on or before
2:00 P.M.
8. Bids
will be opened at 3:00 P.M. on August 30/2007 in the presence of
bidders/representatives who choose to attend at WRDB’s office.
9. Water
Resources Development Bureau reserves the right to accept or reject
all or part of the bid.
