1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a loan from African Development Fund towards the cost of b primary Health Care Service Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract identification No. NCB/SNNPRG/ADF-03/2007 for the procurement of Furniture for 21 Health Centers under four packages in Zones an special workdays of southern nations, Nationalities and people’s listed below. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the ADB’s Rules of procedures for the procurement of Goods and works.

2. The Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Regional Government Health Bureau invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of furniture for the Health Centers and Health posts mentioned above. Bidders have the option to bid for anyone or more packages. Bidders should have redeemed trade license for 2007 & Suppliers list registration certificate from Ministry of finance while purchasing this tender document.

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect bidding documents at Southern Nations, Nationalities and inspect bidding document Health Bureau Engineering & maintenance Service Office No. 20, P.O. Box 149, Tel. (046) 220 73 07/08 Ext. 142, Awassa, Ethiopia.

4. A complete set of biding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above an upon a payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 250 (Two Hundred Fifty Birr only) for each package.

5. Bid must be delivered to the above office on or before 2:00 P.M. August 13, 2007 and must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2% of the bid amount from reputable bank.

6. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to attend at 2:30 P.M. on August 13, 2007.
