Notice of Invitation For
Construction of
ZIWAY-BUTAJERA-GUABRE ROAD PROJECT,
CONTRACT 2:
BUTAJEIRA-GUBRE
1.
The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
has allocated budget towards the cost of Ziway-Butajira-Gubre Road
project, Contract 2: Butajira-Gubre and intends to apply part of the
proceeds to eligible to eligible payments for this contract.
2. The
Ethiopian Roads Authority now invites bidders to submit sealed bids
for providing the necessary labour, material and equipment for the
construction of Ziway-Butajira-Gubre Road equipment for the
construction of Ziway-Butajira-Gubre Road project, Contract 2:
Butajira-Gubre Which fulfills the following criteria,
In case of Ethiopian bidders,
registered contractors of Category GC-1 or RC-1 with their trade
license valid for the year 1999 E.F.Y., registered for VAT and tax
clearance certificate.
In case of bidders other than
Ethiopian: any relevant professional practices certificate and its
trading license or equivalent.
3. The
road project is located in Western part of Ethiopia in the SNNP Regional State and the work
under this project consists of construction of approximately 82 km
length of the road to DS4 Standard (Double Bituminous Surfacing).
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
bidding documents at the address given below from 8:30 to 12:30 A.M.
and 1:30 P.M. 5:30 P.M. from Mondays to Thursdays and 8:30 to 11:30
to 11:30 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. on Fridays local time.

A complete set of bidding documents
prepared in English language may be purchased by interested bidders
on the submission of a written application to the address below an
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 750 effective as of July
30, 2007.

Bidders shall submit two envelopes, “Qualification
Application & Bid Security” in one envelope and “Bid” separately in
other envelope and should be sealed in an outer envelope.
6.
Evaluation is to be carried out in two stages, Qualification
Document first and bids of qualified bidders next.
7.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before
September 18, 2007 at 2:30 P.M. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 100,000.00 ETB. Late
bids will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who
choose to attend at the address below on the final date and time of
bid submission as stated above.
