Supply and delivery of Digital Radio Recording Studio Equipment

1.
This invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement
Notice for this Project that appeared in Development business, issue
No. 587 of July 31, 2002.
2.
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received
credit from the International Development Association toward the
cost of Capacity Building for Decentralized Service Delivery Project
(CBDSD), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit
to payments under the Contract for the supply of items related to
performance and service delivery improvement program (PSIP).
3.
The Civil Service Reform Program Office now invites sealed
bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of the
following Digital Radio Recording Studio equipment and accessories.

4.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive
Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World bank’s Guidelines:
Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to all
bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information
from Civil Service Reform Program Office and inspect the
bidding Documents at the address given below during working days
from 9:00 to 12:00 AM and from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications requirements include: manufacturing ISO
quality certificate or the equivalent. Additional details are
provided in the Bidding Documents.
7.
A complete set of bidding Documents in English language may
be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written
Application to the address Stated below and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee Birr 300 (Three Hundred Birr) or an
equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. The method of
payment will be Cash. The Bidding Documents will be sent by first
class mail for overseas bidders who send a crossed bank draft of
Birr 300.00 (Three Hundred Birr) or USD 35.00 or an equivalent
amount in a freely convertible currency in addition to the price of
the bid documents to the address given below. However, the Civil
Service Reform Program Office will not take any responsibility for a
late or non-delivery of the bidding document sent by mail. No
extension in bid submission date is permitted on this account.
8.
Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before
10:00 AM on September 6, 2007. Electronic bidding will not be
permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the
presence of the bidders/representatives who choose at attend in
person or on-line at the address below at
10:30 AM on
September 6, 2007.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid
Security of 2% of the bid price or an equivalent amount in
a freely convertible currency.
