Description

1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a loan from the African Development Bank in various currencies to finance the cost of Education III project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the procurement of Furniture’s.
    
2. The Oromia Regional State Education Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders with VAT registration, suppliers list and license valid for the year 2007 for the supply of Furniture’s for 12 Elementary Schools in bale, Arsi, east Harerge and West Hararge Zones which categories in 2 packages and 3  lots. The bidders can participates in one or more lots.
    
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents From Oromia Bureau of Education at the office of Property Administration and General Service. Block 2 Room No. 29, P.O. box 8728. Tel. 011 440 76 50, Fax No. 011 440 35 73, Nifas Silk Lafto Sub City behind Ultimate motors.
    
4. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above section and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100 (One Hundred Birr).
    
5. Bids must be delivered to the above office on before 10:00 AM in September 7, 2007 and must be accompanied by a security of 2% of the bid amount accompanied by an acceptable CPO or Bank guarantee.
    
6. Bids will be opened in the presence pf bidders/representatives who choose to attend on Sep. 7, 2007, 10:30 AM, at Oromia bureau of Education Office of Property Administration and General Service, block 2, Room No. 29. P.O. box 8728, Nifas silk lafto sub city behind Ultimate motors.
    
7. Bids shall be valid for a period of 60 calendar days after bid opening date.
    
8. The Bureau has the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
