1.
Geological Survey of Ethiopia invites Sealed bids from
interested eligible bidders for the purchase of:
a)
Drilling consumables and Chemicals and
b)
Laboratory Chemicals, Hallow cathode Lamps, compressed gases,
different Lab-consumables and Non Consumables, Non-consumable
materials for XRF machine and spare parts for chiller unit ERL
2. The
bid documents shall be obtained from our procurement Office Room No.
212 against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 30 for each bid
during office hours upon presentation of Registration certificate
from the Federal Ministry of Finance and Economic Development,
clearance from Inland Revenue Administration, renewed trade license
for the current year and VAT registration certificate.
3.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at
the office of the Survey’s procurement office room no.212 or 214,
P.O. Box 2302, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tele. 011-646 35 84 or 011-646
44 71, Fax: 251 11/ 6463326.
4.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of Birr 5,000.00
in the form of Bank Guarantee or cashier’s payment order (C.P.O) Bid
Bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.

Bids shall be submitted in two separate envelopes.

financial envelope each having one original and one copy

All eligibility certificates cited in item No. 2
(Registration certificate form the Federal Ministry of Finance &
Economic development, Clearance from Inland Revenue Administration,
renewed trade license for the current year and VAT registration
certificate should be found in the original technical envelope, and
are placed in the tender box on or before the final bid submission
date.
7. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
on or before 10:00 AM local time on September 10, 2007.
8. Bids
will be opened on the same date at 10:15 AM local time in the presence of bidders and/or their official
representatives.
9. Geological
Survey of Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject and any or
all bids. Failure to comply with any of the conditions from (4) to
(8) mentioned above will result in automatic rejection.
10. The
purchaser reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids.
