1.
The federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a
loan from the Africa Development Bank/Found towards the costs of
Small Scale Irrigation (SSI) implementation of SSI Projects
located in Different Zones of
Oromia National Regional State as
shown in the table below.
2.
The Oromia National
State Irrigation Development Authority (OIDA) on behalf of the
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
invites eligible contractors to
submit sealed bids for the exaction and completion of the following
projects.

Bidders with Grade of GC 6 may purchase & participate for
only lot, GC 5 & 4 may purchase & participate for up to two lots
only and GC 3-1 may purchase & participate for up to three lots
only, provided that the capital capacity limits set by Ministry of
works and Urban development of The Federal Democratic Republic of
Ethiopia for each contractor should be respected.
4.
Bidding is open to all bidders from Eligible member Countries
as defined in the ADB’S Rules and Procedures for the Procurement of
Goods and Works as well as to those domestic Contractors in GC 6
Category and above licensed in Water Works Construction having
license valid for the currently year (1999 E.c).
5.
You may purchase a complete set of bidding documents (and
additional Copies) from Oromia Irrigation Development Authority
at Kirkos Ketema, Kebele 08/09, Beal building, House No. 560, 4th
Floor, Office Number 403, Telephone No. +251 11 44 67 17 99, P.O.
Box 23840/1000, Fax. +251 114 67 16 65 upon submission of a
written request and payment of a non-refundable fee of Eth. Birr
150.00 (One Hundred Fifty Birr only). Interested bidders may
obtain further information at the same office.
6.
No price adjustment
will be allowed.
7.
Bids shall be valid
for a period of 120 days after bid closing and must be accompanied
by a bid security of the amount stated above in the form of Cash
Payment Order (CPO) only during submission of the bid.
8.
Bids shall be delivered to Oromia Irrigation Development
Authority at Kirkos Kifla Ketema, Kebele 08/09., Beal Building,
House No. 560, 4th Floor, and Office Number 403 on or
before 10/9/2007 at 3:00 PM and will be opened on the same date
10/9/2007 at 3:30 PM in the presence of the bidders of their
representatives who wish to attend. Late bids will be rejected.
9.
The Employer reserve the right to accept or reject any or all
bids.
