Sida Amhara Rural Development Program (SARDP) is an area-based rural
development program that contributes to poverty reduction in the
Amhara National Regional State (ANRS), in 30 program Weredas of East
Gojjam and South Wollo zones.
The program has four components amongst of which Economic
Diversification Component (EMC) is one. Under EDC MSEs are provided
the support and promotion in order to strength their business and
increase their income sources.
One of the interventions is the provision of BDS through commercial
business development service providers, which is expected to empower
the private sector to play its anticipated role in the development
of the economic opportunist in the national economy. It is the
objective of SARDP that private BDS providers would take over BDS
services provides to MSEs in the rural as well as urban areas.
Therefore, the Amhara Regional Micro and Small Enterprise and
Industries Promotion Agency (MSEIPA) has found it necessary to
invite private BDS providers to prepare business plans for MSEs in
the two zones in 8 selected weredas. Accordingly, licensed private
BDS providers who can fulfill the minimum criteria set below are
invited to be registered at the zonal MSE desks-East Gojjam and
South Wollo-for 10 continuous
days following the announcement of this notice.

BDS provides
should have certificate/diploma/degree from recognized
college/university/training institution.
- Must have
relevant training in BDS
- A minimum of
two years experience in BDS provision, particularly in business
plan preparation.
