1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated
sufficient budget toward the cost of construction of pile foundation
for Jarrie-Mille bridge which is part of the Kombolcha-Woliday Road
Rehabilitation Project and intends to apply part of this budget to
payments under this contract.
2.
The Ethiopian Roads Authority invites all Contractors of
category GC-5 registered at the Ministry of Works & Urban
Development.
3.
Contracts should renew their Registration License for 1999
Ethiopian Calendar year.
4.
Interested bidders may obtain further information and collect
and bidding documents from Ethiopian Roads Authority, Engineering
Services Procurement Branch Office, 2nd Floor, Room No.
204, Fax: 251-11 550 00 82, 551 48 66, Tel. 251-11 515 30 15.

The bidding document can be purchased as of June 7, 2007 upon
presentation of a registration certificate from Ministry of Works &
Urban Development, VAT registration certificate and on submission of
a written application to the Engineering Services Procurement,
Design and Technical Support Division of ERA and upon payment of
non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 150.00 (Birr One Hundred Fifty)
made payable to Ethiopian Roads Authority.
6. Bidders
shall prepare and submit their bid marked as “Bid Document for the
Construction of pile foundation for Jarrie-Mille bridge”. The bid
document shall be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 35,000 (Birr
Thirty Five Thousand) enclosed in the envelope.
7. The
bid document shall be prepared in one original and four copies and
must be submitted to the Director General Office, Ethiopian Roads
Authority, P.O. Box 1770, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Fax 251-1-51 48 66,
Tel. 251-1-15 66 03 on or before July 19, 2007 at 2:30 PM.
8. Bid
documents will be opened immediately after the closing time for
submission in the presence of ERA Contract Award Committee &
bidder/representatives who wish to attend.
9. A
bid document, which is received late, will not be considered.
10. ERA
reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
